Power for the Sonata
When you lift the hood of the 2023 Hyundai Sonata, you will be greeted by one of three engine options, and which one you get will depend on the trim level you get. The first couple of trims, known as the SE and the SEL, comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder which kicks out a solid 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque and connects to an eight-speed automatic transmission which gives you a smooth ride no matter where you go. The SEL Plus ups the ante with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that pumps out a solid 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you want a little more oomph, may we suggest the N Line trim, which comes with the most potent engine. This turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivers a solid 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque while paring with a super smooth dual-clutch automatic transmission.
