What's New for the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe

Brought to you by Interstate Hyundai

Well, it's time for the new model years to roll around, and that's why today we're taking a closer look at the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe. This is an SUV that has always exceeded our expectations, with Hyundai always coming out swinging when it comes to power and technology. In the 2021 model year, the Santa Fe boasts advanced front and rear lighting signatures, a new hybrid powertrain, a freshened design motif, and additional driver safety features. There is even a Calligraphy Edition, which offers you all of the upscale design features you could ever possibly desire. Our goal here today is to share with you what Hyundai has changed or added to this SUV. No matter what, the 2021 Santa Fe has everything you could ever desire, and we hope you'll give it a chance.

Can you tell me about the new mechanical elements?

The very first place we want to start with the Santa Fe is discussing what Hyundai has done to further boost the engine and transmission systems. This is a great way of telling if this is an SUV that is ready to take on anything, and as a hint, yes it is. The first thing we're mentioning is the 2.5-liter Smartstream direct-injected 4-cylinder engine, which comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This replaces a 2.4-liter engine that was previously standard. There is also a new 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, which replaces the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from past years. There's also a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid electric powertrain! This hybrid engine gets a six-speed automatic transmission. You can even get the trailer sway control function for all of your towing needs.

What can I expect for safety?

Everyone knows that it wouldn't be a true Hyundai vehicle if you aren't getting the safety features that you have come to know and love. That's why, along with keeping forward-collision avoidance-assist with pedestrian detection, you'll also find a long list of new features. These features include navigation-based smart cruise control with road curve control, lane following assist, highway drive assist, parking collision avoidance assist, and cyclist and junction-turning detection. Let's just say, no matter where you plan on going, you'll be in good hands when it comes to the Santa Fe.

How about the technology and multimedia systems?

The last thing we're looking at with the 2021 Santa Fe is what has changed with the multimedia system. You'll now be getting a larger eight-inch audio display, along with a 10.25-inch widescreen navigation display. There's even a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster screen. We want to mention Digital Key, a Harman-Kardon premium audio system, a wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and remote smart parking assist.
