By Interstate Hyundai
When you buy a Hyundai vehicle, you expect a lot of variety and a ton of value, and this is what the 2020 Elantra delivers. The sharpe-looking and technologically proficient Elantra comes with a rich set of features and a couple of powerful and fuel-efficient engines that are sure to cater to all tastes. In 2020, Hyundai has added a continuously variable automatic transmission that uses particular components and an adaptive shift-style logic to provide you with a smooth ride and better fuel economy. Other exciting features include Hyundai's Smart Sense, which comes with automatic braking, lane keep assist, and drowsy driver alert. Six trim levels are available for the Hyundai Elantra. Continue reading as we talk about each one.
SE
Starting off the trim lineup is the SE, and it comes with a ton of terrific features such as steel wheels, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker sound system. The base SE also comes with a few drivers safety aids such as automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist. Under the hood, the SE, as well as the SEL, Value Editon, and Limited trims, comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque which pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission.Â
SEL and Value Edition
Stepping up to the SEL brings larger alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and satellite radio. Additionally, you get even more safety systems such as blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Value Edition adds to this list with a sunroof, proximity lock and unlock, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated seats, which are certainly some nice touches.
Eco
As the name suggests, the Eco is more economical and comes with a new turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 128 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque, which pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It's similarly equipped to the SEL and Value Edition, but does add dual USB ports.
Limited
The Limited takes the features from the Value Edition and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, and an eight-speaker Infinity premium audio system. You can also get more features with the Limited Ultimate package.
Sport
The highest level Elantra is the Sport, and it is the most comprehensively equipped of all the Elantra trims. It comes with a more sophisticated rear suspension with firm tuning, 18-inch alloy wheels with grippy tires, and big breaks. You also get a new engine in the form of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, which pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The brand new engine certainly gives the Elantra a sportier feel as well as a smooth ride. There are also a few option packages available for the Sport, including a Sport Premium package with an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, the Infinity audio system, and Blue Link Connected Car services.
