What kind of power can I expect from the Kona?
Three engines are available for the Hyundai Kona, and they both deliver extraordinary power. The base SE and SEL come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pushes out 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque which pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission. If you decide on the N Line or the Limited, you will be upgraded to a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that gets you 195 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Then there is the Kona N which has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gets 276 horsepower with a boost to 286 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque pairing with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Can you talk about the Kona's features?
Four outstanding trim levels are available for the Kona, and each is filled with luxury, tech, and performance items. The SE is worth getting as it comes standard with a cloth interior, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a rear spoiler, an 8.0-inch audio touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and cruise control. The SEL takes things to the next level with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, and Sirius satellite radio. The N Line has the most performance items as it gets you heated front sport seats, 10.25-inch digital gauges, 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, an 8-way power driver's seat, and wireless smartphone charging. Meanwhile, the Limited adds even more advanced features such as leather upholstery, dual 10.25-inch digital screens, ambient interior lighting, rear USB ports, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. How safe is the Kona?
In addition to being incredibly powerful and well-equipped, the Kona is also one of the safest SUVs on the road, thanks to its numerous safety features. First, there is a standard Forward Collision Mitigation system that will warn you of an impending collision and will even apply the brakes for you.
