Lastly, the N-Line comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Front-wheel drive is standard across the line.

It's hard to compare to the three available engines that the Hyundai Elantra can house. The Nissan Sentra tries to keep up with a single engine. It is a 2.0L I-4. This produces 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. For gas mileage, the Sentra gets a combined average of 33 MPG. Front-wheel drive is standard and the engine is paired with a CVT transmission.

The Nissan Sentra comes in three different trim levels. Leading off is the Sentra S. The S trim brings features like a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with smartphone integration, a four-speaker sound system, rear drum brakes, Nissan Safety Shield driver assists, and 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. Next up is the SV trim. This tacks on more features including an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, 16-inch wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Last up is the sportier SR trim. This adds a rear spoiler, LED exterior lighting, sport fabric seats with orange accent trim, and 18-inch wheels.
